Equality

Street space is currently prioritised for motor vehicles, so all other street users are inconvenienced and dissuaded from using (or even crossing) roads, and frequently choose to drive because it appears to be the only option. This reduces the quality of our urban environments.

WE WANT OUR STREETS BACK PLEASE.

We support:

• best practice techniques such as shared space, speed reduction, high quality active transport infrastructure, and traffic calming;
• dedicated teams within council for cycling promotion and provision;
• budgeting to achieve an ambitious target for cycling mode share;
• equality in cycle path provision for cyclists, pavement provision for pedestrians and road provision for motor vehicles.
